I'm A Tilter

Early on I would see photos of a wedding that were intentionally off-kilter. Those that know my landscape work know that I'm a huge advocate of an even horizon. I'd see these purposely-tilted shots and wonder WHY??? Was the photographer just not creative enough to take a normal shot? So I'm trying to think outside the box. Will this ever get blown up and framed on their wall? I don't know. Was it a special, magical moment fueled by an amazing sunset on a California beach? Yes. Was the water so cold it could freeze off your toe nails? Yes. Does the tilt work in this situation... let me know. I chose to keep this crop pretty generous because I didn't want the immediate focus to be on the couple, but rather the entire landscape. Cropping tight on them would almost be insulting... YES, I see the couple! as opposed to making them part of the overall scene. But that's just me. Oh and this is exactly why I haven't bought a Nintento Wii yet
