Very Vintage

I’m not a big fan of “vintage” or really any word starting with the letter V. The trend lately has been to make everything look vintage or modern vintage or film. Basically old. But the problem is that a lot of the photos are shot in a location which is anything but old. BUT, in the rare case where the location matches that vintage context, I can see it’s usage. The new VSCO Lightroom Presets do a very good job of emulating the different versions of film from yesteryear with the click of a button. And for this lovely couple earlier this week, it matched their vibe. This was taken at Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills, just north of Malibu. It’s in the middle of an Old West movie site where they’ve filmed hundreds of movies. Considering the context, I think applying a vintage feel is perfectly okay.
