Wedding - Impossible Dance

Impossible Dance

So at a wedding I worked a about 2 years ago, just as I was starting my journey back to film, the reception was on a farm. Outside lights didn't work in this area so the only light we had was a "home depot" work area light pointed at a white barn. All my fancy auto focus digitals couldn't get a lot - even with focus assist. So I pulled my old AE-1 out of the bag, loaded a roll of TMax 3200, made a note to push the roll +1 and exposed at 6400 and manual focused the heck out of it. Ever notice how much easier it is to manually focus a camera that was designed to me manually focused as opposed to a dSLR where that is an afterthought. Would have never captured this shot of the groom without the AE-1
