I shared this on my personal account a few days ago but I wanted to share it here as well. I have been feeling this way a lot lately: Does anyone else ever experience “mom guilt”? I love my girls so painfully much that it almost makes me feel like I’m not good enough for them, like they deserve better. I wish I could literally be perfect for them. My grandma (my mom’s mom) had severe depression when my mom was growing up. She was sick, in bed and struggling on a daily basis. I asked my mom once if that ever made her upset, if she ever felt neglected or overlooked by her mom. She said “No, because I knew my mom loved me more than anything in the world. That was all I needed.” Amen to that. Our kids need our love, not our perfection. Love is what makes us perfect moms.
