This tiny country went from backwater to a major international force within just 30 years. It’s fascinating on many levels, including the architecture. If you’re not going to Singapore specifically, just try to find a place that has a layover in Singapore so you can see the skyline at night! You’ll save money on your 'inconvenient' ticket, you can see the sights, and try some great food while you wait."
