BEAUTIFUL DESTINATIONS

Set in the Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan, the Yaqing Monastery is home to more than 10,000 Buddhist Sanghas, most of whom are nuns. It is one of the largest communities of Buddhist nuns in the world. Every morning as the rising sun lights up the surrounding grasslands, thousands of nun's make their way to morning prayers. The word for nun in Tibetan has a similar meaning to what a mother or sister is to a King, thus showing people’s overwhelming respect towards nuns.
