There’s a myth perpetuated by wedding magazines. The myth that wedding planning is always fun, always easy and you’ll do everything with a glass of prosecco held delicately between your perfectly manicured fingers. You’ll never stay up late slaving over a hot sewing machine, you won’t shed any tears when you can’t find a wedding dress that you don’t feel like a lump in, and you certainly won’t forget to factor the cost of all those stamps for your invitations into your wedding budget (seriously everyone forgets about the stamps!) But Rock n Roll Bride magazine ain’t like those other magazines. We’re here to give it to you straight and help you by sharing the advice you actually need to pull off your dream day. So, today I’d like to remind you that You. Can. Do. This. I want you to remember why you’re doing this. It’s to marry your boo, your babe, your reason for living. It’s to declare your love in your own unique fashion. It’s to tell the world ‘This is my person and I want everyone to know it!’ That’s all. Nothing more. Nothing less. So, whether your family are driving you nuts (Mum I love you but stop with the unsolicited advice already!), you’re having a hard time finding suppliers that totally get you, or you have no clue how the bloody hell you’re going to get all your DIY projects done on time, take this moment to let all that crap go. Seriously, it doesn’t matter. The stresses and strains of wedding planning will all fall to the wayside when you see each other at the bottom of that aisle. Pinky swear.
