Wedding - Stone Fox Bride

Stone Fox Bride

Certain things I don't like about living in Brooklyn. The rat-infested L train platform, vaping millennials in fedoras, people who don't pick up dog poo. Things I love: grass-fed cheeseburgers, McCarren Park Pool, people who say "hi" when you walk by. Oh, and @citygrowersnyc, an awesome environmental nonprofit that gives urban kids access to fresh, local food — and teaches them why it matters where your food comes from — on a rooftop farm! It offers honeybee workshops, a teen-beekeeper program, an insect investigators workshop, a composting workshop, and more. Personally, my kids and I are huge fans. (I grew up in a 100 year old house in Chicago with a tiny backyard and every time we walked through it to the garage by Dad took a pee in the compost pile while lecturing us all about the importance of "strong soil"... EEEEW). Also, City Growers owns chickens for the kids to see! Support their awesome work this #GivingTuesday by donating at citygrowers.org. If you give $100 or more, you'll receive a fresh jar of yummy local honey, too! Coco, Sunny, Mike and I are grateful for your sweetness. #GiveMoneyGetHoney
