What's the scariest thing you've ever done? Mine was speaking to an audience of 500+ people at a conference in Sweden a few years ago. And at one point I lost my train of thought entirely and literally wanted to fall down dead right there on stage. In fact that would have probably been less mortifying. It certainly isn't one of my favourite memories BUT I am grateful for it. Why? Because now, whenever I have to do something scary I can always think, "Well at least it won't ever be as bad as that time I stood on stage and forgot how to use my words in front of over 500 people." Feel the fear and do it anyway, that's my motto, because even if it all goes tits up, at least you'll have a good story to share one day.
