There is a distinct lack of disabled brides and grooms on the internet that aren't portrayed in some "inspiring" story that reads like "you won't believe what happened next", and uses terms like "inspirational", "amazing". And the fact is, we know disabled brides and grooms are out there, and we know you can't see yourselves if weddings that feature wheelchairs and canes, disabilities that are visible, and disabilities and chronic illnesses that are invisible, are not shared.⁠ ⁠ Representation matters. It is so very important to us that our pages tell stories that are diverse and inclusive and not just what "trends" for the sake of "likes". So today we're putting the call out today for weddings that feature a couple with a disability (visible or invisible).
