DAVINA + DANIEL

HAPPY NEW YEAR! This start of the new year seems like the right time to make a big announcement, so here it goes: Daniel and I are no longer taking on weddings.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ For the last 12 years we have travelled the world photographing weddings small and large for people of all walks of life; getting to know them in order to tell their stories. It has been the most fulfilling and thrilling career I could have ever imagined. We were just in our early 20s when we started, and at the risk of sounding cliche, I can say that I discovered myself through weddings. Everyone we met along the way shaped us in some way. We are a better team because of it, we are a stronger couple and better parents.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ This decision was a long time coming. With the growth of our business @imgsalon, we found ourselves with less and less time to take on wedding contracts, and before we knew it, we had no weddings scheduled. The spare time that we have now is spent with our kids, sharing our passion for exploring the world with them as much as possible.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Photography is still very much a part of our lives, and always will be. I (Davina) have several on-going projects, including documenting our children's lives on my personal account @davinakudish. My on-going portrait series on Motherhood, @the.motherhoodproject, has travelled to several countries and I plan on continuing to work towards my goal of publishing a book. My latest project (@woman__being), not photo-related this time, aims to provide a platform for women to share their stories.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ As for Daniel, he's currently exploring photography through minimalism and simplicity after over a decade of pushing the limits striving for the "epic." His latest images are posted regularly on his personal account @danielkudish.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ As for this account, I will keep posting wedding images from the past, and who knows, maybe the occasional new image as well (we still take on special request for friends and family who beg hard enough!). We are so grateful to everyone who has been a part of this journey. We're very excited about this next chapter and we plan on continuing to be part of this amazing community!⁠⠀
