Good Afternoon Trulovers I have a wonderful lunchtime post for you today, the introduction to the newest member of the Belle Brides - Hollie C getting married in 2015 in Chamonix!

It is always a true testament to the growing Trulove Community with how many applications I receive. I do take the time to read through every one and I love finding out more about your wedding planning. Thank you for applying and if you were not chosen this time I love to keep up to date with all of your wedding planning journey's, so always feel free to email in, comment on the blog, post updates on the Facebook page with the nuances in your wedding planning journey.

But no more time to wait, I am delighted to introduce Hollie C! " My name is Hollie and Mat and I had been together for a little over 3 years, when he proposed last June on a gorgeous summer evening on the balcony of a beautiful Boathouse, overlooking Lake Ullswater in the Lake District, UK.

My initial response was total disbelief and I think I actually said "are you kidding me?" Of course after the initial shock, I said yes and here we are a few months on getting stuck into planning our dream wedding. I don't know if every girl feels like this, but I had sort of assumed that when it was my time to get engaged, I would know what to do next to start planning the wedding, I think I always thought it was something that was pre-programmed into you as a girl. But in actual fact, once the initial engagement excitement died down, I genuinely felt overwhelmed and a little bit at a loss as to where to start. Thanks to a wedding planning book that I found, Mat & I sat in café one day and literally brainstormed the type of wedding we wanted; the venue, guest list, season, music, ceremony etc. We decided pretty quickly that we wanted a summer wedding but didn't want it to be 'run-of the mill' in the UK and thanks to our joint love of the outdoors and in particular the mountains we thought, "wouldn't it be great to take all our friends and get married in the mountains." Initially we started looking at Switzerland thanks to a holiday we'd had the previous year but we quickly moved away from this when we started looking at the various ski-resorts Mat has been to over the years for his annual ski-ing holiday. Despite neither of us having ever been before, Chamonix was somewhere that kept cropping back up in all my research, and thanks to the fabulous French Wedding Style Blog, it wasn't long before I came across Haute Weddings, a wedding planning company based in Chamonix. So, we planned a last minute trip there on New Year's Day to visit some venues and check out the location together with Monica from Haute Weddings. On our first day we found ourselves in a blizzard with the heaviest snowfall they'd had all winter but in spite of that we loved it and as we always feel when we get to the mountains it was like coming home. When we visited the first venue it was love at first sight and within a couple of weeks of returning home we'd booked Granges D'En Haut for our dream wedding in the Alps. I think our wedding style is fairly simple but we're really keen to bring our mountain / alpine theme to life, so that our guests really get a taster of one of the things we love so much. Our plan, subject to weather is to hold the ceremony outside, up in the mountains and take all our guests up in a cable car to the ceremony location, where we can hold a really personal ceremony, against the backdrop of the mountains. We plan to write our own vows for the ceremony and get a couple of close friends involved with readings. We are also keen that all the music throughout the day is chosen by us from our favourite songs to make it really personal. Hopefully, if we're lucky with the weather we can then spend a couple of hours with our guests enjoying the fresh mountain air and scenery. After the ceremony, we'll head back to The Granges for dinner and dancing. Décor-wise the place is fab with lots of wooden beams, stone work and log fires, just as you would expect in a traditional mountain chalet but all with a sleek modern finish so our plan is to maximise this with lots of soft lighting such as candles and fairy lights and gorgeously bright summer flowers.

One thing that has always struck me about alpine villages in the summertime are the bright flowers on the balcony window boxes of all the houses. I knew straight away that I wanted our wedding day to feature bold colours rather than pastel shades and although choosing a colour scheme has proven to be tricky. I was inspired by the recent Pantone Colour of the Year for 2014 - Radiant Orchid and I'm now planning to use shades of this across all the flowers, bridesmaids dresses and possibly invites.

We're so excited about our wedding, first and foremost because it's the day that Mat and I will make a commitment to be together for the rest of our lives but also because we're so excited about having our close family and friends all together to help us celebrate in such a fabulous location.

When the email popped up in my inbox to confirm I'd be selected as a Belle Bride, I was thrilled and so excited. I've been following French Wedding Style for a few months now and I always love reading the posts from the other Belle Brides as it's great to get tips and ideas from others who are going through the same kind of planning process as me. Now I can't wait to be able to join in and share our wedding plans."

A huge big welcome hug from me to Hollie! Hollie will be a regular contributor to the blog along with fellow Cassie and Belle Bride Cyndie and you can find all the Belle Brides past and present here.
