Pretty in Pink Town Bridal Shoot

Happy Thursday Lovely People.

So do you think I will be tempting fate if I was to say that spring has sprung!? The sun is shining, birds are chirping and there are patches of yellow daffodils starting to appear everywhere. Pretty sure that's an indication that the winter blues are finally behind us and I for one am very pleased about that.

Not long now for those of you who are planning a spring wedding in April and May! I'm hoping this gorgeous weather is a taster for what's to come for you all over the next few months so start getting excited!

You may remember back in January we featured a beautiful bohemian inspired country wedding shoot by Abi Gray and Camilla Felgate. Well, 1 shoot was not quite enough for these two creative ladies! Using the same team as before, they have put together an edgy 'pretty in pink' town bridal styled shoot that we are lucky enough to share with you all today.

Look out for the amazing pink bouquet, handmade tulle veil and striking make-up.

Abi talks us through the ideas behind the shoot and styling....

We shot the shoot in the small town of Bungay in Norfolk which has a road of beautiful pastel coloured houses. I was inspired by pictures of huge over the top veils I'd found whilst researching bridal looks and not really knowing where I might be able to get my hands on one I thought I'd have a go at making one. I borrowed a glue gun, bought some tulle and voila! I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.

I went for a simple, white beaded dress as an elegant, understated wedding gown with small silver and diamond drop earrings. It was a rather cold day and (similar to Jasmine's cardigan in the country photos) I had lent Hannah my faux fur coat to keep warm. We loved how it looked so much that we ended up leaving it on for the majority of the shots! I lent her my wedding rings also to complete the look.

Jasmine's bridesmaid look was created with a cute pink, bubble hem, strapless dress from Coast with a small brown ribbon and vintage pearl necklace. She wore shoes of Camilla's.

I haven't styled men before so that was new to me. The suit was kindly lent by John Field Formal Hire in Norwich. I decided on a dark grey as I knew Shahmir already had a black suit of his own and I wanted something different. I also borrowed a pink tie but in the end stuck with the silver for these shots. The cane added a little over the top flourish!
