I don't think we've ever featured a wedding of a bride and groom who met whilst auditioning for a dance crew but folks there's a first time for everything. Meet the super gorgeous duo Charlene and Shane who married in Melbourne across the world in Australia.

Charlene designed her big day around a blush pink colour scheme and the love that she and Shane have for dance. You need to read what she has to say about her father and daughter dance during her wedding reception. Let's just say that it involved the track 'Sexy and I Know It' and some Rewind Dance Crew boys that included the groom!

And I can't finish without mentioning Charlene's exquisite Pronovias frock which looks as if it was designed for her; frankly you can't beat a bit of frothy fishtailing action!

Charlene The Bride:The dress that I picked was the first dress I tried on. It was different and had a lot of detail so I wanted to keep everything else pretty simple. The only jewellery that I wore on the day were earrings and a hairpiece.

Along with the dress this venue was the first one we saw. We fell in love with it instantly because of the high ceilings, beautiful wooden floors, water views and also the because it's right in the middle of Melbourne, making it easy for all of our family and friends.

I chose to have a rustic colour palette based around blush pink. We had a candy buffet that my sister and I created together and the menus that my friend Anna made had a wooden look to them. Every second table had a tall vase with willow in it while the other tables had a fish bowl of flowers.

I wanted to keep the fashion choices of the bridal party on the classic side. The boys all wore black suits with a satin trim on the lapel. Shane wore a navy suit with black satin lapels to stand out a little amongst the boys.

When Shane and I first met I was auditioning for a dance crew that he was friends with. At the time Shane danced for a different team but the crews had a lot of mutual friends. We hit it off straight away and about 2 years later Shane began dancing with my team, Rewind Dance Crew. It's a tradition for Rewind to perform at their crew members' weddings and we didn't want ours to be any different. On the night we were accompanied by 17 other dancers and they truly helped make our night even more special. The wedding guests have still not stopped talking about the performance that we did.

Another special performance that was done was by my Dad. We started off slow dancing together and then changed the music to the track 'Sexy and I know it' my dad then danced with four of the Rewind Dance Crew boys including Shane. It was a hilarious performance and I'm so glad my Dad did it!!

Lakshal Perera was recommended to us by a friend of ours. I took one look at Lucky's website and was sold. It wasn't just about his amazing pictures but we loved what he wrote and what he stands for. His website was personal and we knew we would be comfortable with him on our wedding day. I didn't bother looking at any other photographer and we're both so happy with the results.

We decided to use friends of ours for our videography needs who have just started their own production company. They were so professional on the day and everywhere I looked they were there capturing every moment...from getting ready in the morning till we drove away after our reception.

Dance plays such an important role in both of our lives and we knew that we wanted our reception to be all about dancing and having fun. We wanted it to be one big party rather than a night full of formalities. Our guests are still talking about the performances that we did on the night and I think it really put everyone in the mood to get up and dance as well.

I wanted our order of service to say and be more than the formal mass proceedings of the day, so I included a section at the back of the booklet that gave a history of Shane and I and included some fun stories about us as well. My friend Nina is a graphics designer and she designed the booklet, she did an exceptional job and it has been a keepsake for us and our families!!

We had so many other DIY projects included in the wedding too; I ordered the various superhero t-shirts from eBay and the picture of the boys turned out to be amazing! My cousin Rushenka made our beautiful cupcakes. I also made little name tags to go on each cupcake so that they acted as place cards as well. In keeping with the rustic theme, Shane and I sprayed each table number onto hemp material with black spray-paint. Shane then cut pieces of old wood and used these to frame each of the table numbers.
