Beautiful, Relaxed Dubai Wedding Inspiration (With a Food Truck!)

Beautiful, Relaxed Dubai Wedding Inspiration (With a Food Truck!)

via

You guys might remember a few weeks ago we took a stroll in Dubai with Rebecca Rees of A Thing Like That, and saw a whole new side to the glossy UAE city (and Elizabeth's new home!).

And now, Rebecca is back with an even more romantic vision of Dubai.

She's joined forces with Jessica of Lace in the Desert (such a gorgeous wedding blog for Dubai couples!) to create a casual, yet elegant shoot by the creek in Old Dubai.

On-point styling and beautiful photography come together to create wedding inspiration that's both chic and romantic, with a laid-back dinner for two by the waterfront.

From the beautiful dress, to the pretty stationery, the textured florals and the rustic tablescaping - oh and the brides hair is just amazing! - this shoot is brimming with ideas whether you're getting married in Dubai or Denver.

Oh and there's a food truck, which automatically ups the cool factor of any wedding!

From the Photographer

I approached Jessica from the Dubai based wedding blog Lace in the Desert over the summer because I was really keen to create a styled shoot in Dubai before I move back to the UK in a few months' time. Although weddings over here so often tend to be grand affairs (think large hotel ballrooms with white banquet chair covers), I wanted to create a shoot that was the opposite of that, being very intimate, informal and unpolished, yet also very stylish. I knew before I'd even met Jessica that we shared the same passion for beautiful photography and sense of style, just from reading her blog, so I was very excited when she agreed to team up with me. 'Simple' and 'relaxed' are not terms that are used very often in the Dubai wedding industry so I thought it might be a problem finding local wedding vendors who would share our creative vision, but we were very lucky to work with so many suppliers and creatives who really took on board what we said. After finding the perfect venue, a green oasis next to the creek in the heart of old Dubai, the icing on the cake was when we tracked down a new catering company operating from a Citroen H van, one of the most stylish food trucks I've seen and really enforced our overall concept. Thank you to the poor driver, who was on the first day of his job and forced to make a 48-point-turn to get the van from the narrow pathway onto the lawn (and not straight into the creek), but hopefully the results were worth it!

I just love a little casual elegance, don't you?

Thanks so much to Rebecca of A Thing Like That and Jessica of Lace in the Desert for sharing this beautiful Dubai wedding inspiration shoot with us.
