Maddi tells the story of how they came to be. "We had seen each other at our uni library where we exchanged glances at each other, but never spoke. We ended up meeting at a friend's engagement party not long after."

On what she loves about Matt, Maddi tells, "To pin point just a few things... I love the way he laughs, his smile, and his encouragement and support. The way he makes me feel special and always loved and I also adore his love for God. I could list so many things but we seem to fall more in love with little things about each other each day."

Matt proposed in the most romantic of ways, Maddi remembering, "We were traveling Europe together and at the end of the trip we flew to Paris and on our last night before going out to dinner we stopped off at the Eiffel Tower for one last look at the beautiful lights display where Matt popped the question."
