Finally on the blog today, Johan and Rouxnette's stunning clear sky Forum Homini Wedding. This venue is something different, situated in the Muldersdrift area lies this earthly inspired sensation. Johan and Rouxnette had a perfect day, clear blue skies and endless laughter. Photographed by the lovely Carolien en Ben Photography. The use of negative space with the couple and entourage shoot is simply spectacular. May this wedding inspire you!
Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

It wasn't love at first sight. For years we walked past each other! We had mutual friends
and occasionally did that awkward 'how have you been?' conversation until one day,
when he revealed his very likeable dimples at a music festival. Good music, killer
dimples and stars in my eyes. Need i say more?

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

Six very happy years later, we shared our 1st traveling experience together. Johan is the
biggest history fanatic and a Rome obsessor, so that was our destination of choice. We had
the absolute best time exploring the city, their culture & cuisine. On one very rainy
evening, we decided to do a little sightseeing at night. While having our gelatos and
running from one dry spot to another, we stopped at an historic castle. He went down on
one knee and from there everything was a blur. I can only remember staring at my hands
for the rest of the trip - he knows me well and really exceeded all expectations!

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

There is not a most memorable moment. The entire day was an absolute fairytale.
Crystal clear skies, picture perfect decor & one of the most scenic venues. Those where
memorable. But the unforgetable was the 'I do' and our first kiss as husband &
wife. As a wedding planner, you tend to get carried away with conceptualising &
planning. But that really isn't all that important.

I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day

From the decor to the food, all of the wedding elements reflected who we are as a couple
which resulted in the day being super spontaneous with the perfect combination of fun &
intimacy.

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be true. The best part of planning your wedding
is to learn how to compromise. The day has to represent the two of you. You will be
pleasantly surprised how well you & your fiancé's individual style compliments one
another. Wedding trends will come & go, your wedding will be awe-inspiring and
timeless if you simply stay true to who you are.
