Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

The last place I expected to meet anyone. Justin converted into Orthodoxy a few years
ago, before I met him & was working at the church I go to. I sing in the church choir and
one day he asked me out on a date... and the rest was as they say history. I was immediately intrigued by his amazing personality and refreshing outlook on life. At last a kind gentle down to earth person I could see myself getting old with.

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

It was a Friday night and we were on our way to date night. We stopped at the church
along the way... not uncommon, as he often had to prepare a few things before Sundays
service. As usual I waited in the car for him, however this time he called me and told me
he wanted to show me something in the church. I walked in & it was so dark. At the
front of the church, by the altar I saw a tiny candle flickering in the dark and so we
walked hand in hand towards it, I then saw he had set up a little table with the Gospel,
the ring, flowers and a candle. Down on one knee he proposed and of course I said yes.

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

The most amazing sacrament at our church which included the exchange of rings and
crowning as we traditionally do in the Greek Orthodox church. It was so powerful and I
have never been happier.

I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day

A day full of love, music, dancing family and friends.

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides

Keep it simple... its just one day but your life together as a couple is forever.. so keep it
simple and avoid the stress. It will be a perfect wedding regardless of how much you
spend.

Good company and good food, the rest has a way of working out.
Let your friends help if they offer to. This makes the event so much more special. Nick
Nicolaou, a good friend and co-coordinator at GEM functions assured me there was
nothing to stress about. Amazing food, venue & simple but tasteful decorations.
