Today's inspiration shoot is pretty beautiful, and the kind of post that takes us away from it all, as we're scrolling through the pictures.

Captured by Lady Ilg Photography, this shoot was inspired by her own wedding, and her desire to show couples that elopements can be just as special, stylised and celebratory as a big bash.

(Great minds, right? - we were saying that very thing just last week!)

With a dreamy ballerina theme, ethereal styling, delicate details (and we're so glad to feature a gorgeous bride with short hair!) this shoot has so many ideas to inspire your own elopement.

About the Shoot

I just got married in July this year and it was a mountain elopement...it was just perfect for my husband and I. After having my own wedding, I realized how amazing elopements are, and that a lot of brides choose not to do them, either because they think they won't be beautiful, they won't get good pictures, and then there's other things, like the fear of family members being mad at them. But I wanted to inspire brides and create a shoot that centered around the theme of having a mountain elopement, and let brides know that they can still have what they want, without going overboard, and it can still be beautiful. This shoot is different because I added a twist with a ballerina. Essentially, it is a styled ballet wedding.

So pretty, right? Ballerina brides are kind of up there with Disney brides, in little girls' wedding aspirations, so it's always kind of nice to indulge it as grown ups, especially in such a chic and elegant way.
