3 Towns to Visit on Your Vermont Honeymoon

via

As you know from the holiday classic, White Christmas, Vermont is famous for being a snowy wonderland. But it's also a year-round honeymoon destination with plenty to offer. With warm and sunny summers, gorgeous fall foliage, and mild springs, you can visit during any season for an amazing vacation. Honeymooning in Vermont is also more convenient than you might think, with its close proximity to several large cities and international airports. Here are a few towns we think you should visit during your romantic Vermont honeymoon!

Stowe

This quintessential New England town is brimming with charm. Famous for its quaint boutiques and excellent restaurants, this is one must-see destination. Visit Mt. Mansfield (pictured above) during warm weather for lovely hikes and skiing during the winter. Another plus to Stowe is it is only a short drive from the Ben & Jerry's factory, and if that isn't a necessary pit stop on a road trip, we don't know what is.

Burlington

Located on the shores of Lake Champlain, Burlington is home to quirky and interesting museums, delicious coffee, and a dynamic arts scene. If you can, make sure to take your summer honeymoon during one of their beer festivals-you'll be treated to some of the best microbrews in the country! And although it is beautiful to just sit and stare out over Lake Champlain, rent a boat or take a charter tour to fully appreciate it!

Woodstock

If your ideal honeymoon involves covered bridges, sweeping landscapes, and country farms, look no further than Woodstock, Vermont. This little slice of rural paradise was founded just prior to the Revolutionary War, so you can also expect plenty of interesting historic buildings. There are plenty of picturesque resorts and tiny bed and breakfasts to stay at in Woodstock, which was once voted "The Prettiest Small Town in America" by Ladies' Home Journal.
