Mariah Carey and James Packer made their first public appearance as bride-and groom-to-be at the 2016 G'Day Los Angeles Gala at Vibiana Thursday night.

The two looked glamorous, with Carey wearing a glittering black dress and Packer in a simple suit.

Of course, the 45-year-old singer donned her 35-carat engagement ring from her Australian billionaire beau, designed by Wilfredo Rosado.

During the event, politician Julie Bishop called out the couple.

"May I say, James Packer and Mariah, that you've taken an Australian-American engagement to a whole other level?" she said while on stage, per Us Weekly. "Best wishes for a happy engagement!"
