Twiggy; Edie Sedgwick; Jane Birkin—they’re just a few of our favorite 1960’s icon that continually leave us wishing we could transport back in time (but bring our smartphones). To finish off our week of iconic beauty looks from decades past, we teamed up with Lancôme and professional makeup artist Emma Willis for Contour Fossa Makeup & Hair to create the perfect 60’s look for Halloween. Pair this playful look with your best shift dress and over-the-knee boots for mod perfection.

How To: 1960’s Makeup

1. Apply foundation and concealer as normal. Set with loose powder.

2. Dust Lancôme Blush Subtil in Blushing Nude on the apples of your cheeks.

3. Lightly contour your cheekbones with Lancôme Star Bronzer in Sunkiss.

4. Use a flat brush to press the lightest shadow in Lancôme Color Design Eye Brightening All-In-One 5 Shadow & Liner Palette in Taupe Craze all over the lid and in the waterline.

5. Line your upper and lower lash lines with Lancôme Artliner 24H Bold Color Precision Eyeliner in Black Diamond, connecting the two lines at the outer corner of the eye.

6. Line your socket line with Lancôme Artliner 24H Bold Color Precision Eyeliner in Black Diamond to create a dark arc on the lid.

7. Coat your lashes with Lancôme Hypnôse Drama Instant Full Body Volume Mascara.

8. Use your black liner to draw a few lashes on the outer corner of your lower lash line.

9. Line your lips with Lancôme Le Lipstique Lip Colouring Stick with Brush in Natural Mauve; apply Lancôme Color Design Sensational Effects Lipcolor in Love It, and finish with a swipe of Lancôme Gloss in Love in Pink Posh.

 

How To: 1960’s Hair

1. Spray hair with a heat protectant and part your hair to one side to create a deep side part.

2. Pull the front half of your hair forward, and backcomb the back half to add volume.

3. Flat iron the two front sections of your hair.

4. Divide the back of your hair into two sections and put the bottom half in a ponytail.

5. Make a bun with the ponytail and pin it in place.

6. Coil the top half of your back section (the teased part) underneath itself to form a voluminous wave.

7. Pull two 1-inch sections from each side of the front and lay them flat against the head, pinned to the bun.

8. Set with hairspray.
