We have a styled photoshoot for you today that embraces the latest lovely trend in weddings- the picnic. And even better, it’s from Italy- Florence in fact. The talented Emma Innocenti was behind the lens of this shoot designed by Francesca of Franci’s Flowers. The beautiful Palazzo Ximenez was chosen not only for its central location in the city but also for the intimate garden situated in its ancient palazzo, which of course was the perfect picnic setting. The design was inspired by Florentine cultural heritage with props referencing the city’s deep connections with fine art and music in the easel, paintbrushes and music sheets. The picnic concept was emphasized by using bright spring and summer flowers such as orange and yellow ranunculus for Elena’s floral crown and bouquet and a gorgeous table centerpiece of white sweet peas, vibrant lime vibernum and orange blossoms. Anna Fuca provided relaxed, slightly vintage couture for the bride. I love the shoot’s slightly sepia hue, reminiscent of warm Florentine sunshine.

Models Elena and Diego are close friends in real life which makes this shoot even sweeter. Florence is just an amazing place and I’m so in love with the idea of this secret garden picnic in the middle of the city! Can you imagine a destination wedding here?
