Amelie Inspired Wedding Shoot ✈ Part 2

Amelie Inspired Wedding Shoot ✈ Part 2

via

Today we’ll continue our tour of Paris with the second part of our Amelie inspired wedding shoot (here’s Part 1 in case you missed it). Hotel du Petit Moulin was host to us for most of the second day of shooting and was the scene of our wedding table setting and dessert table. As well as getting lots of pretty detail photos here we took a trip to a photo booth and got a few more shots around the Paris side streets. We are so happy with the way Brosnan Photographic‘s images turned out and love the way the red really pops!

The Hotel du Petit Moulin was the perfect location for our styled wedding table set up- a luxury hotel decorated by Christian Lacroix, the hotel displays a perfect mix of elegance and whimsicality. For the table decor, we made napkins from material we found that matched our color scheme. The white animal napkin rings were reminiscent of the scene in the film where Amelie sees a rabbit in the clouds, and in the planning stages before we left for Paris Lindsay had found posters online of the animal paintings from the film so we used these as a backdrop to the table setting and dessert stand. Luckily for us, Jenny from Eye Candy Cakes had agreed to create the desserts for the shoot which included creme brûlée spoons (this idea combined Amelie’s love for cracking creme brûlée with spoons) and a red velvet sponge cake which perfectly matched the color scheme. The florals were provided by Mon Plus Beau Jour and also matched our red, green and ivory palette. The artichoke place setting stemmed from an Amelie quote: “Even artichokes have hearts“.

Handwritten letters feature quite a bit in the film- we used a scene in which Amelie has letters hanging on a clothes line as inspiration for some of the stationery shots. We were absolutely delighted with the beautiful custom stationery suite and signage by Farrell and Chase. Of course, no Amelie inspired shoot would be complete without a visit to a photo booth- courtesy of La Joyeuse de Photographie. A photo booth features prominently in the film along with various disguises so we brought some mask props along as a fun touch. We made sure to get some photos taken in the booth to used in our guest book below.

The pretty green scooter which real life couple Roisin and William had great fun whizzing round on was kindly provided by Left Bank Scooters and Roisin’s dress and green vintage jacket came from the amazing Dirty Fabulous boutique. Again we’re so thankful to all the vendors that worked on this shoot and we’re delighted with the way it turned out. Next up is the video from  Best Day Productions and we promise you, it’s a real treat!
