Wedding Day Beauty Survival Kit for The Flawless Bride

via

You're just moments away from walking down the aisle to say "I do" and all of the blood, sweat and tears you've spent planning for this dream wedding is finally becoming a reality. Maybe you've spent months (or years even) preparing for this day. All of those Pinterest boards, late nights and unfortunate Bridezilla moments didn't happen just so that things could go awry at the last minute, right? But let's face it; even the most perfectly planned weddings can have mishaps. You swore you wouldn't cry but somehow tears are rolling down those perfectly blushed cheeks or God forbid, Mother Nature decides to bring your period a day early. Sometimes things just don't go the way we plan; however, what you can do is be prepared for the most common wedding day mishaps.

So, in order to fully prepare you for any bridal nightmare, I've asked real brides for real answers and came up with a beauty survival kit that'll fully prep you to face any bridal nightmare and continue on with your big day.

Here's what they suggested:

  • Band-Aids: you just never know, especially with those rose thorns.
  • Eye drops: many brides lack sleep the night before and have bloodshot eyes the day of, especially as the night progresses. Keep these handy because red eyes or not, your photographer will continue snapping all night long.
  • Hairpins: imagine you're having a great time but there's one piece of hair sticking out or your whole up-do comes falling apart. These hairpins will be there to save the day and that beautiful up-do.
  • Hair spray: for those curls coming loose or the static in your dress.
  • Fashion tape: there's so much you can do with this double-sided tape.
  • Energy bar: many brides say they're so busy they forget to eat! That, or they just don't have time. A quick little energy bar will be able to hold you over for a couple hours.
  • Oil blotting sheets: you don't want to look shiny in your photos, do you? Don't forget to share with your husband!
  • Q-tips: perfect touch-up tool for smudged eye makeup. Again, you swore you wouldn't cry, but you just never know...
  • Kleenex: need I explain?
  • Powder: takes away shine and gives you more coverage. You've got the bridal glow-the rest of your makeup should stay pretty matte.
  • Lip gloss: you'll need to touch up frequently throughout the night.
  • Advil/Antacids: some brides will feel lightheaded or nauseous. These will come in handy weather it's for you or your hubby.
  • Straw: using a straw will mean reapplying your lipstick/gloss less frequently.
  • Floss: God forbid you have a black pepper stuck in between your two front teeth!
  • White chalk: great trick for removing stains on white garments without smudging into the fabric. Rub chalk on the stain, leave it for a few minutes, then lightly brush it off. (A stylist's secret tip!)
  • Tampons/feminine hygiene products: nothing will ruin a white dress like...

Have your Maid of Honor carry a small clutch with these items in it. Ask her to let you know when you need touch ups, help you with falling hairs and feed you when you're starving. With this guide, your perfect wedding is possible and it will be flawless.
