I so love a playful colourful wedding, which is exactly what WWW readers Hannah and Samuel envisioned for their summer wedding. They held their wedding at Alll Saints Clifton Church followed by a reception at Moggerhanger Park, Bedfordshire.

The had the most amazing florals, which they arranged themselves; along with some help from a DIY tutorial on WWW. I so love the bouquets and pretty flower crowns, so so pretty!

Hannah had the loveliest bridal look, with a ruffled dress by Terry Fox and sweet shoes with socks. Samuel donned a traditional suit while the bridesmaids wore lovely mismatched dresses. Ekkk so gorgeous.

Thanks so much to the brilliant Lovestruck Photography for sharing their images.

The Vision for the Day... Vintage inspired, relaxed (no MC or hotel in sight for us please!), whimsical, hand-picked flowers, playful, muted spring colours, lots of puddings, lots of mismatched fabrics and a day that reflected us.

Reception: Moggerhanger park, Bedfordshire (Georgian manor house)

Handmade flower crown, string of pearl beads, bride's mum's Sapphire ring (something old, borrowed and blue), blue frilly socks (something new) and Irregular Choice shoes adapted by the bride. The veil was also from Morgan Davies.

Groom's Attire... Brown Prince Edward suits hired from Fogarty's. Striped ties to imitate vintage school ties.

Beautiful Bridesmaids... Kajal (maid of honour, best friend) Coast pink dress. Alice (sister) Debenhams cream dress. Chloe (cousin) Monsoon cream dress. Ella (niece) Ted Baker pink dress. Mismatched individual dresses chosen by the girls that can be worn again.

The Bouquet: (Inspired by Whimsical Weddings! http://whimsicalwonderlandweddings.com/2012/06/diy-whimsical-wedding-flower-bouquet-tutorial-by-william-clarke-flowers.html) Sweet peas, Rose mimi eden, Eustoma Piccalo cream, Spray rose, Astrantia, Alchemilla mollis.

Button Holes: Craspedia, Scabios, Asters/daisies, Foliage.

Flowers Crowns:

Bride: Gypsophillia, Eustoma, Rose mimi Eden, Sweet Peas, Peony

Maids (including bouquets): Gypsophillia, Roses

Bouquets, flower crowns, button holes, corsages and jar, watering can, tea cups, pew ends and tin displays all created by the bride and groom, maids, mothers, maid's mum and (most importantly) Aunty Julie! All flowers sourced from Savin's Wholesalers, Sandy. All tins and cans were collected and decorated by the bride and groom.

The Details + Decor... Boho, vintage, country house, quirky. Tandem bike sourced from eBay and renovated by the groom for our maiden voyage! Hand crafted flowers in jars, tea cups and tins with locally sourced ribbon. Typewriter for guest messages. Chalk board with timings. Vintage frames housing photos of our parents' and grandparents' weddings. Personal items and photographs displayed on bird cages. Bunting made from charity shop fabric made by Aunty Margaret and the Bride's Godmother Deb. Jars of sweets (jars collected) by the couple. Tea cups sourced from charity shops. Table number flags made by the bride. Brown paper bags on each table containing quizzes, trivia, sweets and colouring for the kiddies. All of the sweets were personalised to those sitting at the table (each invite RSVP asked for their favourite sweet).

Dessert table containing donated desserts from the guests decorated with fabrics sourced from grandparents and Cath Kidston. Vintage Ice Cream Van called Elsie (from Elsies Ices). Garden games collected by the bride and groom. Photobooth: handmade props made by the bride and Polaroid film sourced from Ebay. Bottled water in hand painted crates at the church went down a storm!

Sweet and flower jars, selected fabric, bunting, table number flags, tandem bike, tea sets, wicker hearts, typewriter, bird cages and watering can may be rented from the bride, contact [email protected]

Have a file for people to refer to. Include the timings of the day and how you want the venue to look if you have family and friends helping you to dress the venue and to help the day run smoothly; it avoids everyone asking when you need to get on with things.
