Charlotte and Ben married in the depths of Winter but far from their big day being a chilly affair, it was full of warmth and rustic details with that added touch of sparkle.

Charlotte looks radiant in her Jenny Packham gown and matching headpiece and the groom and his ushers are ever so dapper in their traditional tails - perfect for the sophisticated reception that Charlotte and Ben hosted at Charlotte's family home complete with roast beef and Yorkshire puddings. Yummy!!

Perhaps the aspects I love most from this beautiful couple's day are all the wonderful decorative details that Charlotte collected and styled herself. There are logs and pine cones, a cheeky reindeer or two, wooden hearts and illustrated pieces of paper pretty. Plenty of pinning perfection for you lovely lot to enjoy anyway.

Charlotte The Bride: After meeting 12 years ago at school we got engaged in December 2012 and both decided on having a christmas wedding as its such a magical time of the year. As all of our family live close we wanted to keep the wedding local, our church service was held at St Mary's the Virgin, Lapworth while the reception was held in a marquee back at my parents' house. The beauty of having a marquee was being able to work with a blank canvas which enabled me to put my creative stamp on it.

I started off by embroidering my invites, the style of which became the running theme throughout the wedding - a warm winter rustic wedding with touch of glam. I asked the guys to wear black tie and the girls to wear long dresses to help create the glamorous feel.

The groom's party were a little different though and wore tails which we hired from my Dad's friends menswear shop, David Aitchison. I've always like the traditional look, as did Ben, so this was one of the easier decisions.

I however, tried quite a few dresses on in various shops before settling on my choice. Although everything looked lovely they weren't quite right until I went to Silks, in Lichfield! The boutique is situated in a pretty barn in the countryside, Jo and the team were so warm and friendly. They were the first shop to offer us a cup of tea! It was the best experience and it was love at first sight when I tried on the Jenny Packham dress! I decided to wear a long veil and a Jenny Packham head dress to finish it off. I certainly felt more relaxed once I had settled on the dress and accessories.

Clare has been our family hairdresser since I was 5, so I was lucky to have someone who knew me and what I like so well. It was great to know I was in safe hands and it was also lovely having her around during the morning and all the build up. I chose Vicky Chiles to do my make up after she did my friends in the summer and came highly recommended; she didn't disappoint.

I had four bridesmaids, my two cousins and my two best friends who I met at uni. Their dresses were a blush pinky champagne colour which had a gold shimmer and beaded detail on the straps from House of Fraser and their shoes were from Next. My younger cousin Emily and flower girl Sophie-Emilie wore dresses from John Lewis.

It meant so much to get married in the village we both both grew up in and to have all of our family and friends together in the beautiful little village church. As a surprise for my Dad the wedding car was a pale blue Morris Minor, which was his first car he bought many years ago! The small drive to the church was great, I really embraced and enjoyed some time with just me and Dad, it gave some time to reminisce together before the day really kicked off. My bridesmaids and mum had arrived just before in an old black and cream taxi.

The guests enjoyed a glass of mulled wine whilst listening to carols played by my Auntie's friend Libby Golding and 3 other colleagues from the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra whilst the family photos were being taken.

For the reception, I wanted to create warm winter atmosphere with a rustic feel. Alison our florist was amazing to work with she understood straight away what I had in mind. In particular she had created a fantastic centre pieces which was certainly key in setting the feel I was after and my bouquet was gorgeous. While in her shop I had seen a moss covered candelabra peaking out in the corner, this then became the base of the table decorations. Alison developed this idea into a wonderful creation which again fitted perfectly into the theme. Alison is very creative and the tree she suspended from the ceiling above the cake was beautiful. I enjoyed working with Alison and especially on all the little details throughout the wedding. In particular I loved the creation of the present table, which I had planned during a Sunday afternoon with Mum, I was very pleased with how this looked on the day.

My mum made and decorated the cake. (Dad's contribution was adding the alcohol to the mixture!) It was a work of art and she loved making the sugar paste flowers and putting it altogether. I loved the gold glitter! I can't thank my mum enough for the amount of hours she put into making the cake and the wedding preparations, she had folders for everything and was so organised, something that I am not!

In order for ourselves and both sets of parents to relax on the day, we decided to ask Louise Harris to help with the coordination of the day. This meant we could all relax knowing all the timings of the day were all being taken care of. I would really recommend having a coordinator if you are having a marquee wedding. Bringing different suppliers all together for a marquee wedding has its benefits, but also its difficulties, a coordinator certainly helped ensure it goes all to plan during a day when you are of course having such a great day with friends and family!

The photographer was really important and the minute I spoke to Lucy Davenport I knew I wanted her to be apart of our day. She is so talented and we are so pleased with our photographs. She made us feel completely at ease and we had good laugh when we had a photos done in the field down the lane which Lucy found!

Mine and Ben's favourite meal is roast beef and yorkshire puddings and Pickle and Rupert at Kopanski Catering created the yummy homemade food. We picked someone from each table to carve the beef at the table and provided them with personalised aprons and a chefs hat. It was such fun watching everyone and it made a great start to the wedding breakfast with plenty of giggles and humour during the carving! The food was delicious, from our canopies through to our evening food, every bit was perfect, we couldn't recommend them anymore highly!

Ben's job was to pick the band and he settled on Mowtown Gold; his one job was a success (for a change!!) as the dance floor was full all night with everyone loving the music, we were so happy seeing everyone have such a good night dancing away till the early hours.

We really had our perfect day and just want to thank everyone who contributed towards it.
