Trev25 shows on Instructables how you can remove a dent easily without any special wood filler. All he uses is water, paper towel and iron. It's hard to believe, right? It's possible because wood has the ability to expand - fibers absorb water and next extend to the right shape. You just need to repeat it few times. Unfortunately, it probably won't work on wood covered with many layers of paint or impregnant.
