Elegant, Luxurious, Beautiful Wedding Inspiration

Elegant, Luxurious, Beautiful Wedding Inspiration

You may think that all weddings these days are held in barns, with cute burlap adornments, mason jar centrepieces and DIY favours. (And you're only half right!)

While we do love a good rustic knees-up, the trend for luxurious weddings, while perhaps not as prevalent on Pinterest, is still as popular as ever.

On an occasion as special as their wedding day, brides and grooms love to create something beautiful and elegant while treating themselves and their guests to the finer things in life; exquisite food, couture clothing, lavish decor and opulent surroundings.

Which is why we just love this wedding inspiration shoot by Extraordinary Days Events. They teamed up with Benjamin Wetherall Photography, Vanilla Orchid Bakery and a collection of talented vendors to inspire those wanting a little luxe sophistication for their wedding.

We'll pass you over to inspired event planner, Meghan from Extraordinary Days Events to tell us more about this elegant shoot.

I met Hope from Vanilla Orchid Bakery about 18 months ago and over the months, we frequently toyed with the idea of having a photo shoot. Later, while I was having a meeting at Cliveden House I saw their French Dining Room and knew we just had to finally do the shoot, as it would be a perfect location. As the room was so grand, we designed every detail to be very luxurious but not so fussy that it would overpower or compete with the ornate walls and carpets. I have always wanted to design a flower blanket for escort cards to be displayed in. Our very talented and experienced florist, Floris Van Den Hoed happily obliged and made the stunning creation come to life. On the cake table, Vanilla Orchid Bakery took inspiration from everything in the room - from the ceiling to the pearl bib on one of the wedding dresses - to design this collection of unbelievable cakes. When it came to designing the dining table, I knew it had to be simple in its lines so that it blended in effortlessly with the ornate French Dining Room at Cliveden House. Yet, I wanted it to look very romantic and majestic. Floris Van Den Hoed's arrangement and the four antique French chairs helped achieved this. Each of the bride and groom's looks were inspired by Cliveden's combination of luxe and country house surroundings. The supremely talented Rita Colson designed five wedding dresses specifically for the photo shoot, of which three were photographed. As Ben Wetherall snapped away we saw our models almost come to life in a wedding day that would have been the perfect combination of gold, grandeur, and gardens.

Isn't it fabulous? Those cakes are just incredible! And such a beautiful setting too. Did you spot the table names on the escort cards, such a romantic touch!

Thanks so much to Extraordinary Days Events, Benjamin Wetherall Photography, and the rest of this amazing team for sharing this elegant inspiration shoot with us.
