Mint is just one of those magical wedding colors that can adapt to almost any color palette. Whether paired with a soft taupe or a vibrant pink, it shines in virtually any theme and detail. Plus, it's totally charming by being simultaneously crisp and soft. And really, how many colors can you say that about? Mint definitely emerged as a color to be reckoned with in 2014 weddings, so we expect to see plenty more of this hue throughout this year!

One unexpected color combination that completely had me at "hello" is mint and navy. Preppy, sophisticated, and fun, you can add touches of trendy metallics (above) or bright whites to create a nuanced mood to your wedding. Make navy the more central color if you want a bolder look, and mint if you want a more subtle one.

You can also blend in elements of just mint and metallics (below) or white for an even softer aesthetic.

Although mint can work for any theme, from modern to retro and back again, it is simply stunning at vintage events. The bright pop of mint cheeriness keeps your vintage wedding from straying into "blush and bashful" territory, therefore surrounding your groom in a sea of endless pink. Use mint throughout your decor, especially as the main color for your larger pieces, like this cupboard above holding all of those delicious sweets. If you prefer to stick with neutrals at your vintage wedding, you can use mint in small doses as with this vintage suitcase (below).

Although not every bridesmaid's best color friend, pale mint makes most brunettes just glow. Find the right shade of mint for your ladies, erring on the side of aqua for your blonder friends and brighter, bolder mints for darker skin tones.

If you can't make mint work for your dresses, just add in accents, as with this adorable patent leather clutch (below, left) or sweet bow flats (below, right) that they'll be wearing with everything from pleated skirts to boyfriend jeans after the wedding.

When choosing your flowers, consider the power of a mint backdrop. For peach and pink flowers, few things are more lovely than mint linens and bridesmaid dresses. And succulents will appear even more vibrant against this pale green!
