Light Hearted Fun & Quirky Farm Wedding in Pennsylvania -...

via

This week we are travelling to Pennsylvania in the US for Emily and Drew's super sweet wedding celebrations.

They chose a gorgeous farm setting, complete with cute animals and pretty gardens. They went for a light hearted and fun atmosphere with pops of colour everywhere. I adore the fresh blooms, festoon lights and quirky attire.

Thanks today goes to Kelsey Kradel Photography for sharing these lovely images.

FROM THE BRIDE |

We got engaged Christmas Eve. It was our first Christmas alone, and there had been some snags to Drew's proposal plan. I was missing my family, the oven broke while we were trying to make our Christmas roast, I insisted on watching Titanic (not his first choice!). But when he got down on one knee, the midnight church bells started ringing and everything was perfect again.

For the wedding, we were going for a slightly up scale picnic- fun and light-hearted. We envisioned kids running around playing, good beer, just a fun party with all the people we love.

We thought the animals at Schnoodleberry were hilarious, and we liked the casual feel of the venue. The birds squawking made a nice background, and there were lots of things for guests to do during downtime. Casual, bright, and colorful!

Our ceremony was self-uniting. I chose a reading about friendship since Drew and I started out as friends. One of the groomsmen read about love from the Velveteen Rabbit, and my dad read from Corinthians. In our vows we promised to continue to laugh together, and Drew promised to believe in me (and let me win at Backgammon!).

All in all, it seemed like people had fun. We certainly did! The weather held, and best of all we got to celebrate with our family and friends.

CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE |

Cake | Dave and Andy's homemade ice cream- we both prefer ice cream to cake, but decided on birthday cake flavour (though we called it wedding cake!)

Catering | BRGR

Bridesmaid Dresses | I wanted the girls to wear dresses that made them feel beautiful, and hopefully something they could wear again. Since almost no one was local, I thought it would be easier for them to pick their own dresses - anything blue.

Hair Accessories | GreenSinner florists made me a flower for my hair.

Rings | The engagement ring belonged to Drew's mom, who sadly passed away before I got to meet her. But I picked a wedding band from the Collection jewelers to match the sapphires in the engagement ring. (Drew's titanium band is also from the Collection)

Hair & Make-up | Alera salon did the bride and bridesmaids' hair.

Grooms Attire | Jones NY

Groomsmen Attire | Nothing specific, though Drew bought them blue pocket squares as part of their groomsman gifts.

Gorgeous!

Thanks so much for sharing guys XO Lou
