I think that we have discovered a little piece of paradise in today's Provence wedding of Lucie and Dimitry at the beautiful Auberge des Adrets. If you are thinking of planning a vintage style wedding, but are looking to keep it elegant and not feeling too themed, then this real wedding planned by Perles d'émotions and captured by Studio Cabrelli i s just packed full of DIY wedding styling to steal!

It is also a great pleasure today to showcase the work of the super talented team at BubbleRock, so be sure to check out their film at the bottom of the real wedding.

Bride Lucie takes us through their big day: " Since always, I dreamt of being married in the beautiful Provence, in the south of France even if we were from the north part of the hexagon. I couldn't imagine the most beautiful day of our life without this nice countryside, the lavander smell and above all, without the sunlight.

When we departed for venue hunting, we visited the Auberge des Adrets. Each corner of the house was nicely decorated with elegance, each place was an astonishment. Located up above Les Adrets, the garden overlooked the nearby hills. Cosima, the owner, brought great care to each detail and was as helpful as we planned our wedding. We felt that here, our event will be as beautiful as we were thinking of. On the big day, we got up to the sun whereas it was raining everywhere else in France. Although our guest came from far away to join us, everyone was smiling and was enjoying the nice weather. To get to the church via a meandering-15-minute drive, we hired an original cabriolet VW Beetle. In this way, we could enjoy the softness of Provence, and both the photographer and videographer could make great shots and footages. After the celebration, we started the cocktail at 5:00pm, a little bit earlier than usual, with pastries and garden games. Cupcakes, ice cream and lemonade in demijohns welcomed our guests to start the festivities. Afterwards, several teams have been created to play with the garden games. The manager of each team got a form he/she had to fill with the score of each player. The best team and the best player have then been called during the evening. On the seating arrangement, each guest retrieved a badge on which it was written his/her passion initially given on the response card. This allows the guests to get to know each other and to discuss about the same interests. In addition to that, 2 items were hidden in the garden to help the guests in finding our own passions. As far as decoration is concerned, we wanted a vintage and rustic spirit wedding because of our interest for the nature. But we kept elegance and a French touch in the realisation as we are quite romantic. This spirit fits well in the Auberge des Adrets, because it already had a lot of furnitures of this style and suited well with the decoration we made by ourselves. Some guests even thought we brought everything ! The colour-coding was mint and peach. We made a lot of things by ourselves. My husband refurbished and old 1920 typewritter to use it on the guest book table. He also built a letter box in wood in trying to copy one from an image I gave him. Further, the guests enjoyed the photo-booth equipped with a Fuji Instax allowing the instantaneous pictures to be hanged behind. We provide a hay bale to be used as a sit, and a ribbon curtain in the rear. A vintage layout was set with old cases, doily, jar filled with lavander. On the tables, our florist made the table-centerpieces in bark-pots. To make the table numbers, we bargain-hunted old books, covered with flax fabric. A mint paper table number was stuck on the book afterwards. We also customized small jam pots as favours for the guests with a kraft label " Thank you " and a mint cup.

During the dancing party, our band livened things up, but it also thrilled the guests with romantic songs like Hallelujah, Love Song, ou Let it be. We were very happy with all the suppliers who made the wedding of our dream. "
