For Ashley and Nathan, getting married in a century-old barn added a sense of history to their rustic wedding event. This virtual "woodland wonderland" was all about celebrating not only the bride and groom's relationship, but also all the other treasured relationship in their lives. Guests were treated to cupcakes and cocktails, and the couple even took a second alone to enjoy a beer from the local brewery on-site. What was most important for you to include in your wedding? What was your favorite detail? What was your wedding theme or style? How did you choose your theme? Five words that describe the two of you and your wedding: Your first dance song and why you chose it: What is your advice to couples who are planning weddings now?

For the two of us the most important aspect of our wedding day was to honor, and celebrate the parts that our family and friends have played in our lives. We wanted everything to reflect our deep appreciation of their presence, from our ceremony to the food. We wanted everyone to have an incredible afternoon, and to leave feeling full not only in their stomachs, but also in their hearts.

There we so many incredible details! Having our families so involved was wonderful, but my favorite had to be having Nate's two young daughters be a part of our ceremony. Lylee, the eldest (8 years old), was one of my bridesmaids, and Sydnee (5 years old) was our flower girl. During the ceremony we surprised them by asking them to hold our hands during the exchanging of vows. It was an amazing moment, and we will never forget it.

Our theme was an earthy-rustic, woodland wonderland. The ceremony and reception were held in a barn that is over 100 years old. We were very lucky to have my extremely talented Aunt Sue, of Sue Surby Design, as our wedding planner and decorator. She helped me from the very first step of the way from choosing the venue, colors, textures, lighting, food, flowers, I mean literally everything. She's a superhero, and the best part is that she loves to do this. The theme just seemed to happen with her vision, and it was truly beautiful.

Family, fun, celebratory, cozy, and food!

Our first dance song was "Wrecking Ball" by Eric Church. Not only do we love Eric Church's music, but the song really fits us. With our current schedules we don't see each other during the week, and the song is all about him coming home from tour to his wife. It's very sweet, and passionate.

Breathe. It will all be okay! Once you're in the moment you're on kind of on autopilot, and any hiccups in the day just melt into the background. Everyone is just happy to be there, and you should be too!
