My first proper trip to the city of Rome was only a few months ago after a few days wedding planning at our venue and to celebrate my birthday. I had seen so much of the city through the amazing submissions that we have received over the years but being there in person, well, it's near impossible to accurately describe the sheer wonder of the place. I was nearly overwhelmed. Todays Rome colosseum wedding session was shot by Olga Makarova, a photographer based in Florence and for me, it captures the beauty of Rome that I enjoyed only a short time ago. The couple, Ksenia and Ivan, married in their hometown of Kazan in Russia before setting off on their honeymoon to Italy. With far more time together and the most beautiful of backdrops to choose from, they wandered the streets of Rome foran entire day for their post wedding photo session. After taking in the sights at the Colosseum and Capitoline Hill, they moved on to the more bohemian area of Trastevere and its cute cobbled streets. As if Rome itself didn't provide enough inspiration, wait until you see the detail on the back Ksenias stunning gown.
