There are some couples that simply radiate joy. Martinique and Aaron one of the couples, as you'll see in these gorgeous shots from their fun and fabulous New Orleans-meets-California wedding.

The awesome photographer , Teresa K photography, who captured the emotion and action had this to say about Aaron and Martiniuque:

Pickles and milk meets the Disney Princess.

And so their story begins. It was the summer of 2004 and Martinique was working at the Johnston Community Center as a Camp Counselor. This is where she met her prince charming to be, Aaron. That first summer was full of mostly unrecognized flirting on Aaron's part, setting the pace for this long-term courtship. It wasn't until the next summer Martinique clued in that Aaron was interested; but, she wasn't available. So they focused on their friendship. Summer came and went and although the seeds of their romance were planted, they weren't quite ready to bloom. Martinique might not have been on the market, but Aaron knew she was his true love...so he waited. Patience is and always has been important to this relationship and I know that it will be the key to it's longevity. It wasn't long until the path was clear to both of them, after that...it was Aaron and Martinique all the way.

Fast forward 6 years...this time it was Martinique whose patience was tested. Aaron was working as a PE teacher at the same school where Martinique taught Kindergarten. It was a long time coming and Aaron came through with the perfect proposal. The day he had been planning for what seemed like forever started like just another regular day for Martinique. And so she thought nothing of it when one of her students asked her to come help with an important job. When Martinique walked outside she saw her students standing together in a row holding signs that formed the question, "Nikki, Will You Marry Me?"

And the rest...well I'll let you see that for yourself. With an 18 month engagement, the wedding and reception were everything they both had every dreamed of. Let's just say Martinique's French Creole heritage was on full display, the dance floor was never empty, and true love passed the test of time!
