Wedding Cakes - The Naked Truth

Wedding Cakes - The Naked Truth

via

This summer we're not the only ones losing our clothes! Introducing the hottest wedding cake trend for this upcoming wedding season: the 'naked cake'. A plain cake which is normally comprised of several levels without external glazing.

There's no doubt that one of the sweetest elements that we have localized at Israeli weddings are the wedding cakes, and just like any trend which re-invents itself and takes on different take offs, so does the this one. It seems like cakes are getting on board and joining us in our lack of attire this season. From 'Shabby-chic' to sweet sprinkled and multi-layered cakes, this bare look is both edgy and different, and allows you to save money on frosting! In addition it conveys a unique aesthetic and looks great in pictures and most importantly it leaves room for creativity (and imagination) in the rest of the cake layers and the design around it.

We have gathered a number of beautiful naked cakes that are not only beautiful and sweet but also add a lot of color and character to the sweets table. All that's left to do is choose which style you like best and apply the following tips:

- We recommend to choose a cake that does not exceed 3 floors/ layers.

- Decide earlier which element of the cake you want to be in focus: the flowers, the fruits or maybe the cake topper.

- Make sure that whoever makes the cake for you, has done this kind in the past.

- Always come with a reference for the type of cake that you like so that you won't be disappointed with the result.

Behold the pure beauty of the naked cake..
