As the fashion set migrates to the City of Light for the final shows of this season, we're brushing off some pseudo French expressions that perfectly apply to the hustle and bustle of this Fashion Week's mis en scène.

Faux pause: the break between shows and weeks that allows no real time to rest, refuel or even register what was on the runway.

À la model: as seen on the girls who use the backstage entrances to shows.

Clique clack: a mob of stiletto-heeled ladies running through the streets to make shows.

Sans-culottes: the very few who do not bow to the trendy trouser this season.

Vive la pants!: a rally cry for those that wear the de rigueur cuts like culottes and flares.

Group de jour: the front row at any show.

Faux de Miu-Miu: what you wear in Paris when you've exhausted your Miu Miu in Milan or what you do if you don't attend the show on the closing day of PFW.

On your marques: repping the label whose show you are attending.

Feel at liberté to add your own in the comments.
