Floral Print Wedding Dresses for Spring 2016

We just got a sneak peek at some of the Spring 2016 collections, and we've got to say, we're pretty excited. There are so many beautiful trends right around the corner. But one of our favorites has got to be the use of floral print fabrics. Cheerful and celebratory these wedding dresses will have you second guessing if a white gown is really what you want.

Boho Florals

Flowers and boho style have always gone together like two peas in a pod. So, it really comes as no surprise that boho wedding dresses look flawless in these garden-inspired prints. From retro large-scale images (above) to sweet and elegant (below), these boho wedding dresses are fantastic.

Flowers Gone Modern

Although many of the floral wedding dresses we spotted were all-over prints, some featured illustration-style designs in just one area of the dress. Above, this botanical watercolor dress is completely unforgettable, and perfect for a boho wedding outdoors. Getting a little chilly? We love how great this navy cardigan and belt pairs with this simple illustrated wedding dress.

Think that a floral pattern is too sweet for a modern bride? Think again. These dresses prove that feminine flowers know no style boundaries and can fit in with any theme. Below, from a distance this red and white Monique Lhuillier appears to be a printed fabric, but it's actually scarlet embroidery along the bodice and sheer sleeves.

Floral Prints Reinventing Traditional

Fear not, you don't need new glasses! These watercolor-esque dresses both play up an abstract, blurry quality in their prints. Boldly stylish, these floral dresses are certainly not for the demure.

There is a tendency to think that if you don't wear a white dress you fall into an unconventional category of brides, eschewing tradition and preferring all that is alternative. False. You can still love all traditional style and details while wearing a printed dress. These dresses display a sort of "traditional with a twist" vibe-beautiful floral prints that will even convince your grandmother that you picked the right dress.

We think the soft blue background to this floral print dress above is just lovely, and the tulle overlay peekaboos throughout the front and back. Below, this classic floral print is elegant and refined, and the dress features a slight high-low hemline (it only goes up to mid-calf, though).

Want a big princess ballgown, but don't want to look like a fluffy white cupcake? Pick a vibrant floral print on an otherwise traditional wedding dress silhouette.

Bring the Flowers to Your Destination Wedding

Destination brides, especially those going to tropical locales, often feel like they have to sacrifice a wedding dress because of their far-flung event. A floral print dress will allow you to blend in with your surroundings, but still experience the fun of wearing a stunning gown.

Above, this simple v-neck dress has flowers blooming up its hemline. This sleeveless gown would be perfect on a Hawaiian lanai. The large-scale floral print on the gown below doesn't distract from its stately sophistication. Although this might be a little formal for the beach, it would be a terrific option for a wedding in the city.

Brides that favor bold, juicy color will adore this Badgley Mischka gown below with its red flowers floating above bright navy. Especially if you are headed to a rich, exotic destination, we think this dress is just gorgeous.
