Weekly Wedding Tip: Guest Accomodations | The Bridal Guru

via

Most weddings have family and friends that come from out-of-town for the celebration. Here are eight tips for arranging their accomodations:

  1. Consider your out-of-town guests needs
  2. Reserve a block of rooms. This gives your wedding guests a lower group rate.
  3. See if your hotel will offer additional services such as a hospitality suite, free breakfast or cocktails, or special checkout considerations
  4. Consider the different economic needs of your out-of-town guests by providing two or three options with varying price ranges.
  5. Although it is the bride's duty to recommend accomodtions for out-of-town guests, it is not the bride's duty to pay for them.
  6. Email or have a wedding website with information about accomodations. Include the toll free number, the name or code under which the rooms are reserved, shuttle service and other pertinent information.
  7. Usually the bride and groom arrange transportaion to and from the ceremony and reception locations for all out-of-town guests. Some may have buses or vans; others use family and friends to transport out-of-town guests.
  8. Make sure the accomodations are comfortable for your guests. For many of your guests, your wedding is also a vacation. Be considerate.
