I can't think of a better way of starting the morning than pouring over this stunning country wedding. Set in the most idyllic location, across a river and quaint suspension bridge to reveal the most fabulous rustic tipi reception in Tim's parents secluded garden.

To continue with the dreaminess, wait until you see Bride Eve's fabulous Augusta Jones fishtail wedding dress. It has the most delicate lace neckline that gentle skims her shoulders meeting at an elegant low back V and the silhouette of the gown was made for her.

Love Lust List member Helen Lisk Photography has captured all the love and emotion of this wonderful garden party and couple who are clearly besotted with one another. It's just heartwarming.

Bridal Outfit

Eve The Bride: I loved my Augusta Jones dress as it suited my figure and looked classic and elegant. The princess look was not something I wanted. It was an easy going dress that allowed me to dance freely later in the evening, especially for the first dance.

My bridal shoes were called 'Fancy' by Paradox Pink and were lovely simple and importantly comfortable giving some much needed height!

My make up artist Josie Lock and Hairdresser Helen Tozer both worked well together and were very professional. I was very happy with their care and attention to detail.

Grooms Attire

Tim The Groom: I had a suit made from John at Fox Tailoring before and I liked the cut he used and the care he took to listen to my ideas. I wanted something that was different but with a nod to tradition. He enabled a design of a wedding suit that with an extra jacket could be used as 3 piece also and has been. It was comfy and I liked the flash of purple and white to match Eve and the Bridesmaids.

Venue

The venue was Tim (and now my) family home, and we could not think of a more idyllic setting.
Its flower meadows carefully maintained by Mike and Cilla Owen and the unique suspension bridge over the river offered a beautiful secluded spot for a country wedding. Incidentally Coal Harbour House is available for bookings in 2017. [email protected].

World Inspired Tents provided the tipis, which were the centerpiece for the reception. The speed in which they put them up was impressive.

Ceremony

North Curry bell ringers rang the bells with great abandon with the North curry choir adding vocals to the service. We had excellent readings by Eves brother Richard who read an Irish blessing and Tims siblings David and Tanya who read a conjoined 'Song of Solomon'.
'Ave Maria' and 'A Gaelic blessing' wonderfully performed family friends Margie Marshal & Pemma Spencer- Chapman during the signing of the register.

Ian Carsson also played the organ and is available for weddings and performances.

Colour Scheme / Décor

Eve The Bride: We really wanted a simple elegant country wedding. A lot of the decorations were home made with the help of family, Bridesmaids and friends.
At the reception we wanted a country wedding with a twist. The addition of a secret garden, tipis, skittles and French bowls mixed with local cider and ales with a traditional sweet stand to make a hotchpotch of the things we liked.

The Stationery calligraphy & table plans were lovingly created by Jane Williams, Tim's Godmother.

Caterers

After our sojourn on the river with champagne, we met our guests on the lawn tucking into a cornucopia of cured hams cheeses, breads, hummus and a variety of nibbles washed down with pimms and proseco.
The wedding breakfast was a roast lamb carved at the table with summer vegetables and a treacle tart to finish. Our caterers Parsnip Mash really made every effort to accommodate our needs.
The bar was supplied by the ' Gremlins' carnival company raising money for their carnival float. Gremlins had sourced a variety of local ciders and ales for us. We provided the wine after a dash across the channel to France.

Cilla Owen (Tim's Mother) made the cake and did an excellent job. It looked awesome and tasted even better.

Florist

St Peter and St Pauls church North curry (also known as the cathedral of the levels) was beautifully decorated with flowers grown by our friends Jane and Christopher Sturdy with Helen Sturdy and Cilla Owen arranging the flowers.
The beautiful flowers at the reception were provided by the ' Wild Bunch ' added the rustic country look using milk urns old bottles and crates. We chose natural meadow flowers to fit in with the country feel. They also did the bouquets and the buttonhole flowers.

Entertainment

The One, Warble Entertainment who did an excellent job with their vibrant riffs. They were happy to accommodate an early acoustic performance during our lawn pimms and presseco as well as an evening performance that kept the dance floor full till the early hours.
Extra entertainment was supplied by a large fancy dress trunk and a spare guitar...thank you Jim.

Photography

Helen Lisk Photography really was excellent. Her style captured the essence of the day. We found her very non obtrusive and she stayed on to get a few extra shots as the light faded. Her post wedding albums are a thing we shall cherish.
