Outdoor weddings are always special and romantic. The handsome couple, Alexia and Pierre were married at the beautifully scenic Hartford House. The ceremony was encircled with beautiful trees and pretty pink blossoms hanging overhead. Photographed by the talented Adrian Shields, the couple's special connection is clear as day.

Alexia was running a family coffee shop in Umhlanga, I decided to go there for lunch with some of my friends. I noticed her running around and I told my friend out of the blue and totally talking crazy.. "one day i will marry her". Driving out the coffee shop i saw her standing there taking a delivery of stock items. I drove up next to her and told her "she is the most beautiful girl i have ever seen". I then called my sister and told her go past that coffee shop make friends with the girl there and get her number. She of course did all that, she then gave me the number and the rest is history

I had booked a room at the Fairmont in Zimbali... not giving away any hints, i mentioned to Alexia seems as though you love hotels so much, lets spoil ourselves and stay the night there. I had booked a dinner at the hotel resturant, along with some help they set it up all romantic.. candles, flowers and champagne. We then made our way up to the room, where i popped a bottle of wine and we went and stood on the balcony overlooking Zimbali resort. I went down on one knee and told her, the only thing i would want to change is your last name... Will you marry me.. she said YES!

The most memorable part of that day was seeing my future wife walking down the aisle towards me, knowing this is what i have been waiting for from the day i met her back in 2006 at her coffee shop.
