Card boxes are often an afterthought in the wedding planning process, but they can be a great way of extending your theme and bringing another bit of 'you' in to your big day.

I have been through the WWW archives to bring you some brilliant ideas, from drums to retro vanity cases.

There are so many options out there for a post box, from the traditional Royal Mail red box, to the fully customisable example below. I particularly love the American style mail box, and of course had to include Lou's own box personalised by her family!

Wicker picnic baskets are fantastic for summer seaside and meadow weddings. Jazz them up with patterned fabric and handles to match your colour scheme, or add pretty bunting for the shabby chic effect.

If you are a keen traveller and want to bring this part of your personality out on your wedding day, then these vintage suitcases are perfect. Make bunting from luggage tags or fill with wallpaper to brighten up your case. Suitcases aren't exclusively for the pretty, shabby chic theme; use a modern font for your lettering to bring it right up to date.

Wine crates are incredibly versatile as card and gift holders, and so work well for all themes, from pretty countryside barns to cool city chic. Stack them and fill with beautiful flowers and fabric, stencil your names on to them, or leave in their original form.
