Gimlet-eyed Kristin Yamada is busy snapping street-style starlets during Fashion Week. Here are her photos to inspire you for next season (or this one), and some wardrobe picks to help you get the look.Chriselle Lim ( The Chriselle Factor) is a veteran style star here on The Thread with good reason. She knows how to do fashion week right. Here she plays black and white anything but safe. The bold text of her conversational clutch creates the perfect optical mix against an über cool, graphic top. Equally superb contrast is found between her sexy, femme lace-up heels and the edge of a tough-girl moto jacket. Metal detail sunnies and jewelry complete the look.

Laura Comolli ( Purses & I) is bringing some serious casual-lux heat to a New York Fashion Week of subfreezing temperatures. Warm tonal stripes are a fun update to natural color fur. This palette playfully mixed with Mickey nostalgia has a slightly retro vibe. Paired back to clean classics and denim, however, this look feels totally modern. Nike Cortezes are effortless-cool while a dressier metallic clutch underlines that Laura is still, in every way, dressed for the occasion. Bravissima Laura!

Kaitlyn Ham ( Modern Legacy) owns neutrals. I mean owns them. Sometimes mixed, and often monochrome, she is an expert at making an understated statement. With this look she is, again, ticking off multiple trends at once. Long layers and loose volumes are both of notable interest, and I love how easy she is making them feel. The extra, extra long proportion of her cozy scarf is icing on the cake. Sleek black and silver accessories give the final bit of polish.

Nina Urgell Cloquell is a Spanish Instagram style star on the rise. I'm feeling her casual chic vibe that often has a dash of global flair to it. Here in New York she is keeping her look quite classic. Fur coat and leather gloves dress up the ease of her laid back ensemble and tort sunglasses. At the same time, platform brogues with contrast striping infuse a hint of edge. I'm excited to see what is up next for Nina!

Marina Ingvarsson ( Bon au Petite!) is a model, blogger and proud Chelsea girl. She didn't have to venture far to hit the Tibi show where she looked fantastic. Those wide, cropped denim pants are to die for! The volume of this hero piece is well balanced by tailored layers and a boyfriend belt. Black accessories are city sleek. Nicely done Marina, from a former Chelsea girl myself.

Another show, another knockout look from Helena Bordon. Leather continues to trend strongly for fall and this sleeveless turtleneck piece is modern and sleek. Perfectly cut black trousers are a must for every closet, but I particularly love the subtle wrap details of these chic pants. The structural bag is another major theme this year, and Helena's Louis Vuitton has just the right touch of graphic contrast.

Chelsea Leyland is sort of my spirit animal. When she isn't crushing it on the turntables she is serving up style on the streets. This energetic look makes spring feel just around the corner. Florals are as popular as ever and a must this coming season. Adding a striped piece makes for a bold pattern mix, grounded in a neutral coat and sneaks. The color-blocked fur scarf has emerged as a hot item already this season in New York and I'm digging it. Thanks Chelsea!
