Sometimes a gal just needs more than one dress to get through her wedding day! Reception dresses are a popular option for brides who have vastly different ceremony and reception venues, or just want to slip into something more party-appropriate for dancing the night away (you learned at prom that it is zero fun hauling around yards of tulle). Here are some gorgeous reception dresses that we have spotted this fall.

The Second Wedding Dress

For the women who want a separate dress for their reception, but still want it to feel "bridal" these lovely white dresses will do the trick! Go a little sultry with a jersey sheath from Halston for some serious 1970s-inspired glam (below, left). If you wore a ballgown down the aisle, but want something a little sleeker at the party, opt for a simple and sexy belted mermaid dress (below, right).

As we mentioned above, dancing in some wedding dresses is just way too difficult. Find a reception dress that moves well, like this one with a slight high-low hemline (below, left) or in a tea-length (below, right).

Add Some Color

Many brides opt for a reception dress because they want to wear some color but can't bear the thought of not having the quintessential white wedding gown. These fun dresses allow you to wear your favorite color, and still look super glamorous. Below, show off your gams in this exquisite high-collared blush mini-dress with a white lace overlay.

This season is all about the knife pleats. And this flirty laser-cut fabric in blush (below) will look amazing in the photos! Just make sure you handle with care before the reception-pleats this sharp are notoriously finicky.

As much as we all love a good trend, some brides might be a little hesitant to go with the latest and greatest on their wedding day. Keep it romantic and traditional for the ceremony and the have a little fun afterwards. Right now, feathers and fringe are really popular (and they both photograph like rock stars on the dance floor).
