So, I know that all of the experts say we ought to be focusing on the warm jewel tones of wines such as marsala, but lately I just can't get enough of bright blues. From sapphire to twilight, these vibrant shades make bridesmaids glow! Navy has been a wedding staple for several seasons now, especially at preppy and nautical events, but these trendy blues bring in just a bit more radiance.

Above, this royal blue bridesmaid dress benefits from the sheen of a silk-blend fabric. With its retro off-the-shoulder neckline and a-line silhouette, this look would be ideal for a wide range of wedding themes and styles. Below, this bright royal shift has modern ruching and pleat details on the neckline, waist, and skirt. This would be a great option for a courthouse wedding's MOH.

Indigo goes sundress for this darling beach wedding selection with geometric detailing around the neckline and a full, flowy skirt (below, left). Or go short, but preppy, with this darling blue Kate Spade number with cap sleeve and deep back (below, right).

Of course, nothing goes with a summer tan quite like electric blue. Above, this phenomenal knife-pleat gown is pretty much the coolest thing I've ever seen. And with its deep v neckline and banded waistline flowing into a full skirt, it's going to look great on both athletic and hourglass body types.

Below, if ever there was a bridesmaid dress designed for an exotic destination wedding, this is the one. Can't you just picture this for a beach wedding in Mexico or a coastal event in Greece? With its deep embroidery and unforgettable shade, darker skin tones will look amazing in this stunner.

Love the deep blues, but want something slightly more demure? Opt for a patterned option that incorporates a royal blue like this pleated maxi dress below. With a look reminiscent of Dutch china, it would be lovely at a garden wedding-truly romantic and very pretty.

If you want vibrancy, but also really love you some navy, find a "brighter" shade. For example, this cutout dress above blends the sophistication of navy with the saturation of indigo. Just a tiny bit of purple added to the navy gives it more oomph. Below, this navy skirt is just a shade lighter than usual and when paired with its blue and silver beaded bodice, the whole dress shines!

One blue really growing in popularity during 2015 are shades of lapis or ocean blues. A blue with just a touch of teal, these shades are sophisticated, but unique. Blondes and redheads with paler complexions both look fabulous in this color.

If you love a bright blue, but want something much lighter for your bridal party, use marine blues. Above, this cotton eyelet-blend dress is a terrific fit for a more casual wedding (and it will breathe really well on a warm day). Even though the dress is lighter than the others here, it still is delightfully luminescent!
