Janine and Raymond's wedding story is a really beautiful intimate one. This gorgeous bride is radiant in her elegant white gown. All the little details of the ceremony make this wedding so charming. The happy couple were wed at the lovely Lief is Lief farm.

Photographed by Michelle Kalp photography, the brides beauty and grace is captured with ease. Janine tells us a little more about their story and their special day...

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

We were both divorced & had a mutual friend that introduced us to each other.

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

hahaha, not in a romantic way at all, but it was very special... We went for dinner & then Raymond decided it was time to take a drive. He wanted to go "watch" the city lights. We drove around for an hour trying to find a suitable place on a hill & not finding any. Raymond saw that the street that we were in, was the same as his surname, "Small". He parked in the middle of the road & grabbed his chest (to find the ring in his jacket pocket) I thought he was having a heart attack! He then took my hand & just ask straight forward! In Small street, Mr Small asked me to be his Mrs Small...

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

We had a small farm style wedding & the weather, food & just everything was perfect! The most memorable for us was having the privilege of my grandmother walking me down the aisle. This was very special seeing that my grandmother has alzheimer's & no memory of our wedding day at all. Also the unifying of our family, seeing as I had a daughter from my previous marriage which Raymond completely accepted & raised as his own from the very beginning. Like he said, her birth certificate may say something else, but in his eyes she will always be a "Small".

I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day

Our wedding was beyond special & a day that we will cherish forever.

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides

Keep it small & intimate. Don't go overboard, keep it simple. Our wedding was very plain regarding flowers, decorations etc & still everything looked amazing. If you have to spend money on something, get a photo boot for the reception. Our guest loved the photo booth & now we have special photos of ALL our guest, where we share a special moment with each of them. It also helped along the dishing up process from table to table & was so much fun. Lastly, enjoy every moment & remember it is all about you as the bridal couple. Don't try to impress your guests, it's about what you like, want & doing things your way.
Oh & grooms with two left feet, surprise your bride & go for a few dance lessons. ;)
