Hello my lovely ladies! Another weekend of glorious sunshine ahead and I can’t wait for a little downtime.  I’m off to the tiny village where I grew up for a weekend of relaxing with family, BBQ’s and the local village fête.  Let the weekend of quaintness begin!

Before we head off for the weekend though, today’s all about pretty, pretty, paper.  Abigail Warner is my new stationery crush (I have many, that’s allowed right?!}.  This girl has serious style, creating contemporary papergoods, greetings cards and beautiful bespoke wedding stationery.  Based in Derby {but regularly in London meeting clients, and shopping!} Abbey’s incredibly stylish work is perfect for any design-loving bride & groom.  In fact, her designs are stocked in Selfridges and Paperchase, she’s that good.  She also works closely with the gorgeous Pearl Lowe, most recently as Editor at Large of Pearl Lowe’s Vintage Home and illustrating her book, Vintage Craft.

Using playful design and traditional printing techniques, Abbey’s work combines letterpress {pressing designs into paper}, foiling {adding a bit of bling – we like that} and thermography {tactile, raised designs} to create totally unique designs.  Her wedding stationery collection is completely bespoke, meaning each design is created especially for each client, capturing their personal style and story, our favourite kind

Let’s find out more ~

My style is… Two parts indie, one part boho, one part preppy, as seen in my Instagram feed

I’m inspired by… My travels, the British countryside, fashion, interior design and happy inspiring people.

My favourite piece is… All of my wedding designs are bespoke – so its a little hard to say what is my favourite design has been, but the reason I love bespoke is the process… I meet with most of my clients and get to know what they really love and how they want to put that across in their wedding stationery, we then work on a brief together which will form the basis of the moodboard I will create from which they pick a design that has captured the look and feel of their day the most and then together we go on to develop the design… its such a rewarding creative process which I twin with using a mixture of different print techniques.

Trends I love right now… Ikat, Geometrics, Pastels and Neons and Black never goes out of fashion.

Designers I admire… OOoooh this is a difficult questions as I love lots of different designers for different reasons but my all round brand heroes are Orla Kiely, Kate Spade and Anya Hindmarch.

I love my job because… I get to meet so many inspiring and wonderful people across the world of design, interior and fashion and am so-so lucky to live a truly creative and free spirited life.

Weddings make me… Incredibly happy – because I am being trusted to help create someone’s vision of their love story on one of the biggest days of their lives.

My advice for couples planning their wedding is… Be realistic with your budget, both with yourself as a couple – as well as your suppliers before you even start looking around for inspiration

If you do one thing this weekend, go and check out more of her work, I know you’ll love it! www.abigailwarner.com
