Kimberley and Joe

Today’s classic Autumn wedding is a beautiful one, the elements are personal (the bride handmade the stationery and all the decorations) and the day is filled with joy. I don’t care about anything else when a couple are smiling so hard it looks like their faces are about to fall off. An inelegant way of saying how much I love seeing a happy couple.

Kimberley tells their story. “I was on a girls night and Joe was on a boys night, met in a bar and hit it off. ”

The beautiful photographs of Kimberley and Joe’s wedding were captured by Bruce Loves Susie.

“One thing that was a must have for me was my late grandmother’s brooch which I stitched onto my garter, I also had a pair of cuff links made with our daughter’s finger prints , printed into them and engraved with “daddy’s little girl” for Joe.”

Kimberley chose a Pronovias gown from Strictly Bridal.

Kimberley and Joe were married at Coolibah Downs . Kimberley remarking “Coolibah Downs is a beautiful venue set on acreage, the stone chapel is quaint with rustic charm and the reception marquee was just perfect . It is a wonderful all in one venue .”

Kimberley remembers,”I walked down the aisle to ‘Kissing You’ by Des’ree.”

Kimberley loved sharing the day with the couple’s baby daughter.

Of their photographer, Kimberley says, “Amanda from Bruce loves Suzie was amazing, she knew exactly what we wanted and produced some pretty amazing photos. Amanda was so easy to work with she is fun and quirky, and guided us perfectly.”

Kimberley remarks, “I did all the decorations myself from tea light candle holders to place cards and menus, I wanted our wedding to have a personal touch and I think by making everything ourselves it’s really added to the charm.” Kimberley’s cousin made the cupcake wedding cake.

For their first dance, Kimberley remembers, “Our first dance was lovely, it was to Michele Featherstone’s  ‘Man and Wife’.  Joe and I slowly danced together for a minute or so then our whole wedding party joined us .”
