The Tailored Man – Fashion 360

The Tailored Man – Fashion 360

via

There once was a time where only certain clients had access to a Fashion Designer. Rightfully so as it was nearly impossible to talk to everyone or even create something specifically for them. Fortunately, over the past few years this has changed. More people want a personal touch from Fashion Designers and The Tailored Man is leading the way with engagement. Who really cares about if a designer talks to anyone about clothing? All we want are good clothes right? I cannot express how wrong that is. Harley Manning, Vice President of Customer Experience at Forrester Research, states “what we can now prove is that customer experience correlates to loyalty.” Loyalty means repeat customers who share their love for your brand to others resulting in increased revenue. The Tailored Man knows all about providing a great customer experience and will talk in more detail at the Fashion 360 Conference. In the meantime here is a few tips we are able to tell you now. District Fete: What has made the Tailored Man such a great tailor lasting since 1969? The Tailored Man: Client service, attention to detail, and high quality garments.  We have been very lucky to have many long lasting relationships with clients, some of whom have become close personal friends.  We approach each new clients in the same manner to this day. With that being said each client we work with has an opportunity to design his/her garment to the most intricate detail.  Each order is kept on our system for future reference. Lastly, we never waiver on the quality of our garments and we believe that also to be a factor in our success for over four decades.   Distric tFete: More designers are learning how to be more engaging to their clients. What is The Tailored Man doing to provide more than just clothing?   The Tailored Man: With the recent opening of our second shop in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia we really have put this on the front line.  We organize bi-monthly client events in the shop as a small thank you, while also giving clients an opportunity to network if they see fit. (No pun intended)  We have also taken a more active role in social media which gives us a chance to promote new ideas as well as provides an avenue for our clients to display their own garments.  We’ve found this to be very popular among the grooms/wedding parties that we work with.  We thoroughly enjoy seeing our clients in their favorite suit on a special occasion. Also, starting in October, we will be launching a loyalty rewards program.  For every purchase (including a percentage of referrals) our clients will receive points that can be redeemed for additional custom clothing or even to local activities, stores and events. District Fete: What has been your AH-HA moment while working with The Tailored Man that you wish all designers could experience? The Tailored Man: Personally, my “AH-HA” moment was when my colleague (Sanjay Daswani) was working with a client who is disabled and utilizes a wheelchair.  It made me realize the difference you can make with something as simple as a custom garment.  Function sometimes trumps form.  The reaction and gratitude Sanjay received made me proud to be a part of The Tailored Man family.   District Fete: Where do you see the shift in men’s wear moving to in fashion? The Tailored Man: Custom is within reach!  Men aren’t limited to ready-to-wear in the tradition sense any longer.  With the technology available behind the scenes, custom shops such as ourselves can make beautiful garments and still be a great value for the client while keeping with old world traditions and techniques.  No longer is custom tailoring only for the rich and famous.  It’s something every man can enjoy! Fashion Designers learn more about The Tailored Man when you register to attend this weekend’s conference. Details here.
