You know my fondness for backyard affairs already.  So it will come as no surprise these sweet photos from Sandra Grunzinger Photography won my heart in an instant.  When I saw that this wedding sent an adorable duo to the chapel of love right in Kelsey’s childhood backyard, I was hooked.  This homespun wedding was filled with all kinds of homey touches that made Kelsey and Dean’ s guests feel special and welcome and showcased their amazing adoration for each other!

That perfect chapel front was built by Kelsey’s Dad and uncle who struck a deal with a neighbor to get that perfectly weathered wood. Kelsey and her mom added antique paint to the over sized doors from a habitat store.  The leftover wood was used for the super cute table numbers and signs that Kelsey hand painted as well.  Kelsey also had a hand in the yarn balls, flower arrangements, and those pretty crocheted hairpieces that she and her bridesmaids wore.

It was a lot of work and definitely took a team of generous family and friends to get everything done. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day. It was literally perfect. I am so glad we did what we did.
